AI FOR HEALTHCARE? BRING IT ON
A confession: this edition became an AI Special more by accident than design. Eventually, the sheer force of the subject matter became impossible to resist. And that is because artificial intelligence is a juggernaut that is powering towards every area of our lives – including healthcare.
I’ m excited by the prospect of medical professionals being spared admin and given more time with patients. I’ m encouraged by how Fujitsu and Nvidia are planning to use AI to ease the healthcare crisis surrounding Japan’ s ageing population.
I also love that synthetic models could unearth a goldmine of AI healthcare data.
Maybe my optimism is misplaced, but I prefer hope over despondency any day.
